Kansas City, MO – Taylor Swift made a grand entrance at Arrowhead Stadium, gearing up to support her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, as he prepares to take the field for the 2024-2025 season opener against the Baltimore Ravens.
The pop superstar was spotted more than an hour ahead of kickoff, dressed in a denim corset, matching denim shorts, and striking red knee-high boots. Footage of her arrival quickly spread across social media, signaling the start of what fans are dubbing the second season of “Football (Taylor’s Version).”
This highly anticipated matchup, set to air on NBC Thursday night, comes as Swift and Kelce have been romantically linked since September 2023. The connection blossomed when Swift attended one of Kelce’s games, following his efforts to court her during an Eras Tour concert in Kansas City.
Swift’s commitment to attending games has only grown since that initial appearance, making her a familiar face on game-day broadcasts throughout last season. She frequently supported Kelce during breaks from her tour, solidifying her presence in the NFL scene.
Her attendance at games has sparked considerable discussion among fans and commentators alike. While many have embraced her involvement, noting the new female audience she brings to the league, some traditional NFL fans have expressed frustration over the heightened focus on Swift during broadcasts.
In a previous interview with Time magazine, Swift addressed the conversation surrounding her visibility in the NFL, stating, “I’m just there to support Travis.” She added humorously, “I have no awareness of if I’m being shown too much and pissing off a few dads, Brads, and Chads.”
Kelce’s teammate, Patrick Mahomes—the leading quarterback in the NFL—also weighed in on the situation, calling it “extremely cool” that Swift continues to attend games. Speaking at a pre-Super Bowl press conference in February, Mahomes underscored her role, saying, “Obviously, she’s just here to support Travis in the best way possible. It has done a great job of bringing more people to football and how great the sport is.”
Additionally, Mahomes expressed his appreciation for Swift’s engagement with football, noting, “As a father to a daughter as well, I love that she watches the games and loves football.”
As the Chiefs prepare to take on the Ravens tonight, all eyes will undoubtedly be on Swift and her vibrant cheer as she supports Kelce once again.
