Television Adaptation of "Who TF Did I Marry" in the Works with Natasha Rothwell
In an exciting development for fans of personal storytelling, “Reesa Teesa” is set to make its television debut. Natasha Rothwell, known for her performances in “Insecure” and “The White Lotus,” will star in the upcoming TV adaptation of “Who TF Did I Marry.” The story gained widespread attention on social media earlier this year, according to a report from Variety.
The narrative centers around Tareasa “Reesa Teesa,” who gained notoriety on TikTok by sharing her recounting of what she describes as a marriage that went horribly wrong. In her more than 50 engaging TikTok videos, each five to 10 minutes long, Teesa detailed her experiences, captivating millions of viewers in the process.
Rothwell has reportedly secured the rights to adapt the story through her production company, Big Hattie Productions, after a competitive bidding war.
Earlier this year, Johnson, speaking to CNN, expressed that she harbored no regrets about revealing her tumultuous relationship, stating that she discovered her husband had consistently lied to her.
The couple met on a dating app shortly before the onset of the pandemic. They moved in together for quarantine, got married in 2021, and separated just six months later.
During the same CNN interview, Johnson shared, “I’ve had a lot of messages from people who were telling me ‘You know, I went through something very similar. Your story has helped me make decisions in my own relationship.’ So, I definitely would say the overwhelming support has definitely made this worth it.”
