In a recent incident of escalating unrest in Salford, a 16-year-old girl has been formally charged with assaulting a police officer. Superintendent Marcus Noden from Greater Manchester Police stated that no further incidents had occurred in the aftermath, but they remain vigilant with robust plans established should any new confrontations transpire. Noden addressed rumors circulating online that suggested a connection between the unrest and immigration issues, firmly labeling those claims as “categorically incorrect.”
