The fifth stage of the FIM Speedway GP in Malilla saw Lambert and Fricke take the lead after the first two races. They were the only riders to win both their heats and had six points each, putting them two points ahead of the rest of the field. Holder also had a strong start, winning his race against Lindgren in Heat 8, with Kvech taking third place.

In Heat 7, Zmarzlik faced pressure early on but managed to secure his first win of the night. Vaculik overtook Huckenbeck but was then overtaken by the German, who claimed second place. Fricke continued his fine form in Heat 6, winning his second race and keeping Lebedevs at bay. Woffinden struggled on the opening lap and finished behind Kubera.

Lambert had a strong start in Heat 5, grabbing the lead at the first bend and maintaining his position throughout the race. Bewley settled for second place, holding off Madsen, while Michelsen finished in fourth after an earlier win. Fricke won Heat 4, with Bewley finishing in fourth place.

Michelsen put on a spectacular ride in Heat 3, securing the win with Zmarzlik finishing in third place. Lebedevs took the lead from the inside gate, with Michelsen riding wide and overtaking Zmarzlik on the last lap. Lambert dominated Heat 2, leading from start to finish, while Wozniak took the win in Heat 1.

The races were delayed due to wet track conditions, with officials working to ensure safety for the riders. Lambert and Bewley were the fastest qualifiers, with no racing expected until later in the evening. Zmarzlik continued to lead in the overall standings, with Holder and Lambert close behind.

Overall, it was an exciting and challenging night of racing in Malilla, with riders battling wet track conditions and tough competition. Fans can look forward to more thrilling action in the upcoming stages of the FIM Speedway GP series.
